heres where Im at with the whole cop thing.

First off im always nice and respectful and yet i always get fucked. Ive had 2 tickets in the last 4 months one for "disturbing the peace" total bullshit btw. Just had a few friends over and the other for speeding at 2 am in Sd on a 6 lane empty freeway.

Im sick of people saying be respectful and you well get let go. NO. it never works. Traffic cops are dicks, and fucktard UTAH police have nothing better to do then waste my tax dollars. Go bust people slinging meth in the nearby trailer park. Doesnt that seem a little more important ??? one would think so. I hate cops, so does my father and he was a federal DEA agent.

99% of cops are white trash on a power trip, the other 1% are self righteous ass hats, naive enough to think they actually make a difference.

I got pulled over the other day when I had done absolutely nothing wrong. Breath tested and when the test returned 0.000(I haven't drunk alcohol in over 3 years), they decided to rip half my interior out and search my car for drugs. Once they found nothing they just left, they didn't offer to help put my car back together or anything. All this happened in my own street with my neighbors standing on their lawns watching. Thanks, you ignorant subservient swine.

that's harsh dude. Staying calm in a situation like that was probably pretty damn tough.

My first time ever getting pulled over was after driving home from the movies at 2am. The street I was driving on was a 40mph that turned into a residential 25. Just as the 40 is ending, someone pulls up RIGHT behind me, headlights blasting, so I drop a gear and floor it to pull away from them. Turns out it was a cop. As soon as he flipped his lights on, I hit the brakes and stopped. He thought I was trying to run from him. I gave him a bullshit excuse that I was trying to heal toe rev match down shift and because I was still learning, my foot slipped off the brake and I hit the accelerator pedal. He didn't believe me. lol

Every cop I have encountered (besides a VERY select few) are what OniKyan said; white trash on a power trip. These guys are the dickbags in high school that someone fucked with too much and they took it out on the world by becoming a cop.

I have been arrested 2 times and the second time I was hauled to a police substation while I was waiting to get transferred to the county jail. While I was there, I overheard about 3 or 4 cops just laughing about throwing people in jail, impounding their cars, making their relatives/loved ones cry, etc. and they thought it was absolutely comical. A lot of these guys are on a power trip, especially female officers. I have yet to come across a decent female officer.

Now, I can't say ALL cops are absolutely terrible. One fine Saturday morning, it was a beautiful day out and I decided to take my Ninja out for a bit of spirited riding. Cop pulled me over, asked to see my license, came back and said, "Slow it down a bit. You have a nice bike, it's beautiful out, and I can agree with having a bit of fun on it, but maybe you shouldn't be doing it on an expired license". After that, he gave me a verbal warning, told me to head home and go take care of my shit at the DMV on Monday. I got lucky.

I have been pulled over for speeding, "street racing", drifting, doing California rolls through stop signs, you name it. In the end, tickets add up and that shit wasn't worth it. Ended up costing me my license at one point.

I must be lucky with cops, only dealt with a couple unpleasent ones, and have my fair share of warnings. Got followed all the way across town by two cops and boxed in by them in a McDonalds parkings lot for a supposed hit and run. I laughed as the cop came up and said I'm guessing I know what this is about. (couple high schools girls were previously messing with me on the road and told me they were calling the cops). The cop called the girls to ask about damage as he stood looking at my custom 1/4" steel bumper on my big jeep, guess there was no damage to their little car from me 'hitting' them. Cop just shook his head and I was on my way.

Most recent was in my last e30, pulled over for window tint very first time I drove the car, was just running across town to the parts store. Cop asked why the windows were so dark, I just bought the car and it came from texas...he just stood there complimenting me on my car as he wrote me a window tint ticket and no proof of insurance ticket (got insurance that day, just didn't have the card).

I was 15yrs old, showing off to the girlfriend. No license, no insurance, in my older Brother's car that I had taken without permission.
To be honest, I couldn't even drive well enough to be on the streets. Cop pulls me over and asks where I'm headed, I said to drop off the girlfriend, he says well "do you know why I pulled you over"? And I'm like noooo........he said your tags are expired and you're swerving, are you tired? I'm like yeah....., I just want to drop my girlfriend off and go home.
He asked for my license, and I obviously don't have one to provide him. He lectured me a little and says, get your girlfriend home and go to bed and make sure to register the car.

I have never felt luckier in my life.

Ive dealt with a few cops for the short time ive had my licence so far. Twice ive gotten tickets. First time was for a fucking tags, which had been expired 2 days before. Cop wasnt a dick at all seeing the violation wasnt that big of a deal and i showed him that i had gotten the emmisons test already. I went to court for that one and ended not getting called til 3 hours after my scheduled time, all for cutting the fee in half. Not worth it.
Second time was i got caught doing 86 in a 65. Any faster and I would have been required to go to court. This cop was cool, but he didnt say much. He asked me no questions what so ever. He grabbed my licence, write the citation, and let me be on my way. The whole stop took literally 10 minutes. Cost me 200 bucks for that, then a month after paying that the state of GA decided to slap me in the face with an other 200 for some "Super Speeder" bullshit. Basically if you go a certain number over the speed limit on a certain types of roads, they hit you with that fee. Oh...and it also got me 3 points on my licence. Should have been 4, but good thing i took a defensive driving class before i got my licence :D

My overall experience with cops its good. I always make sure im respectful. I DO NOT call them sir, always OFFICER. Much more respectful and they will take notice of that. If you want to be even better, call them Officer (Insert name here). I dont see a point in trying to be a dick to them cause of course if you act that way to them, theyre certainly gonna go it back to you. It never ends well and I think it could cost you more money in the end. Getting warnings from a cop is a privilege, so if youre nice, its gonna save you a lot of money.
I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

I work with a cop. He's got some awesome stories!

I've had my share of encounters, some dickish, some not. Best one was when I roasted an is300 in my 330i. Cop got me doing 77 in a 40, he popped up over a hill. He asked if I was street racing. I told him I wasn't racing, etc, etc. Looked him dead in the eyes. Gave me a speech about how cars are weapons, etc, etc, what he could do, but chose not to, etc, etc.

He didn't get me for street racing.

He didn't drop it to reckless driving.

He dropped it to straight speeding. 19mph over. Paid out of court, done.

                      FUCKKK YEAHHHH!

Besides speeding tickets, I've gotten out of all my reckless tickets and accidents. Helps to know a crooked lawyer too. ;)

Happened to me in my SVT a few years back. Was leaving my apartment and had two cop cars pull me over, yelled at me to put my hands out the window. Meanwhile another cop circled car looking all over it. They then explained what was happening, apologized and I went on my way. Two blocks later, another cop pulled me over. I immediately asked if it was about a hit and run and pointed to the two cars a few blocks back still there and said I already talked to them. He was a bit of a dick and still insisted he look around my car.

so far, 4 years with a clean driving record, never been pulled over, yeaaahhhh.

I was at a party though behind my friends house in high school, cops came, one of my other friends and I had our cars out there. He asked me if i had been drinking, i told him the truth that i had a few beers, he said thanks for telling the truth and wouldnt do anything, but told me he would have to tow the truck anyways. told me to call my parents to pick me up, pretended to call my mom and then asked if i could call my brother, haha. it was like 3 in the morning, he answered on the first ring and said "what'd you do now?" hahaha. it was funny going home the next morning and my mom asking first off why my brother wasnt at work. pretty funny, but in the end had to pay $105 to get my truck out.

Came to learn that cops respect you telling the truth, especially after they deal with a bunch of other kids who are trying to be tough guys. best part was, one of my friends who was too drunk to stand up left his backpack over by the fire, in the bed of my truck. the cop said i looked good enough to go get his shit for him, needless to say there was a lot of illegal shit over there. ended up throwing everything into the woods, and the next day we went back up there and found everything, hahaha. good times.

i went over to my buddies house and fixed a coolant leak on his e30.
