My ONLY internet connection is an AT&T MiFi. I get 5GB total data a month, that's it. They have no higher plan. The $10/GB overage charge would be fine if they didn't throttle the hell out of it (WTF is .03MB? It is fucking slow, let me tell you) but I can buy a pre-paid SIM card...that expires in 30 days...for $50.
I am with George, we gotta find a way to stick it to the cell companies. Communications are everything, but damn, quit raping us and we likely won't hate you.

With WiFi calling, free mobile to mobile and texting....I hardly use any minutes at all. $25 sounds like a great deal.Last edited by reelizmpro; 04-28-2012, 10:32 AM."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

the phone i have for my gf is virgin mobile gophone. it's android. unlimited data (or maybe 2gb, not sure. its more than enough in any regard) and texting and 300 minutes. $30/month. no contract. i think it's a pretty sweet deal.
my phone is verizon (iphone) and i get the same speed as my gfs phone (1mb) on data. unlimited data, but i use about 1gb a month so it's fucking useless. unlimited texting, 300 minutes of talk. if i use half of that talk time in a month it's a lot for me. $100/month. 1 year left on the contract. im thinking of saying fuck it and eating the cancellation charge.AWD > RWD

Edit: Also, they just started to slow your speeds down once you hit 2.5gb.

I have Virgin Mobile as well, awesome service.
25$ for 300 minutes and unlimited everything, sick android phone and no contract.
They raised their price to 30$/month for that plan a while back (but didn't change existing plans). I've never had any issues with their service, my girl and whole family use them as well.
Actually my girl thought she broke her android phone and they sent her a brand new one, but then her started working again and we got to keep the new phone for free.
2centsDifferent strokes for different folks.

New smartphones are any phones launching in May 2012 and thereafter.
To best complete a phone swap, we recommend waiting until your plan month is finished. This will avoid you having to pay for one month of service twice.
The Beyond Talk Plan rates that would apply are as follows:
$35/mo
Web, Data, Messaging, & Email: Unlimited
Anytime Minutes: 300 min.
$45/mo
Web, Data, Messaging, & Email: Unlimited
Anytime Minutes: 1200 min.
$55/mo
Web, Data, Messaging, & Email: Unlimited
Anytime Minutes: Unlimited
I guess they're finally replacing the Optimus V and they want to make more money off of it. I can't imagine $25/mo being very profitable when they're paying rent to Sprint.
I'll probably be sticking with the Optimus V for a while. I'm not thrilled with the battery life when I'm using it intensively but its nice to be able to run Pandora and a few other apps continuously for 13hrs when driving from Seattle to the Bay Area.
