Obviously didin't read what I said. I understand the point of having different size drives.
But having very small sockets in large size drive and vice versa is unnecessary. Like can you think of something that the only option to use is a 9mm 12 point 1/2 drive where nothing else would do the job? Not a 9mm 3/8 drive? That's what i'm talking about. It's stupid. If that bolt needed to be torqued down that hard that you can't use a 3/8 drive then the manufacturer would have used a larger bolt and using a 12 point on a bolt that small that needs so much torque that it's necessary to use 1/2 drive is going to grind down the corners.
So almost every socket size is duplicated in 3 different drive sizes AND 12 point and 6 point AND a deep socket of it.
