Here are the plans for the bed. Finally learned Sketchup so I designed and sketched this up

Here is a frame that I made. Walnut with maple splines. Finished with wipe on satin poly.

Nice work guys! I dont have anything to post up right now, but I will later this year. Starting in October I will be attending the North West School of Wooden Boat Building.
I am super excited about it!
My dream is to build one of these, and sell it to some rich ass hat in Lake Tahoe.

I have zero talent whatsoever with woodcraft, but a friend of a friend does custom furniture. Looks like you're pretty good at what you do too

How to store ~600 different electronic components and be able to find them quickly.
I still need to label everything and add some bar codes.

Started with some pine(?) fence pickets.

Now that is a motor boat. I'd love a boat like this. If given the choice between buying a faster fiberglass monster or a classic wooden boat, the classic will win every time. Its just more pleasing to the eye and really is a functional work of art. I'd love to make it to the Lake Tahoe classic wooden boat show some day. I really have a thing for wooden sailboats.

I think attending a wooden boat building school would be awesome. Have fun.

That Gar Wood won't fetch you much of a profit. Find and restore a Riva, then your talking about some big bucks.

I use to work at a boat restoration shop in the next town up from me. My dad has been restoring boat for years and years now. This was by far, the best riding boat I have ever been in. My dad restored this in the early nineties before I was born and we kept it until about 5 years ago.
