Specs are the least useful measure of quality. XBOX had a good online experience when the PS3 didn't, and Sony hasn't figured out how to rectify that. For some reason gamers wanted to play with other people, not just play with themselves. The PS3 has more power, but not the better experience, therefore people bought the xbox.

As good as this might be, it definitely wont be an Ipad killer. Just look at the Iphone, there are like 500 different types of android phones and one Iphone, and i'd say the Iphone still outsells the androids.
I personally dont get the Ipad, to me it seems like a bigger version of my touch, maybe i just need to spend more time using one to get it. And, back in the day, PS2 had worse specs than Gamecube or Xbox yet PS2 FAAAAR outsold xbox and GC...it's because they had so many games available and so many of them featured amazing stories and great gameplay
one of these days the corporations will figure out that people no longer care as much for a slight improvement in graphics if the game itself is not fun/can't be played easily with friends. Shit, just look at minecraftComment

This could be very good, but they have to have excellent corporate integration. That's how this will really take off. A lot of suits around me use ipads and a stand-alone keyboard for more work than they should use it for, and with this being integrated with the cloud, a user can simply turn off his desktop, walk out, go to lunch, pop open a win8 mobile device, log into the same account from the desktop, and finish the work.
The zune was a better device than the ipod in terms of features, usability, and tech, but it was poorly received due to marketing and time-frame of release.Comment

whoa, hey now, OSX is NOT linux.
OSX is a derivative of UNIX, as is Linux, but they are not the same thing.
Though many of the commands are the same/similar, which makes things nice and easy, it doesn't share many of the same kernel functions nor does it have... well... the same kernel....
That's like saying an apple is an orange, because they both came from seeds.
