all the siding is up, the ceiling is installed. Garage doors are coming today and the stone guys will be here next week. Once this thing has concrete and i get my CO i'll be full steam ahead with the wiring and plumbing.

Nice - did you go with Yoder? I had a client on the MD/DE border who used them for a new pole barn for his business. It's great to have a structure up so fast!

I went with Conestoga builders/ CB Structures. And yea, it's awesome, this thing went up in a week. The garage doors are on and the stone wainscoting will be on next week. I can't wait to park a car in it. I'll try to get a pic of it up tonight with the doors. Now I'm trying to decide ho to break it up into pieces. I need a engine room/clean room, lift bay, welding/fabricating/restoration bay, parking for three daily drivers, motorcycle/atv parking. I'm open to floor plan ideas if anybody wants to draw something up. I have an idea of what I want to do but I'd like some other ideas to consider. Other guys with experience chime in here. I plan on building an interior wall to separate daily usage vehicles from work area. I usually have two cars under construction/immobilized at any one time, and another one or two running/driving but under construction in some fashion or another. Maybe i'll finally post some pics of the mustang.

Forming this up for concrete is going to be quite a bit of work. I'm really not looking forward to it this morning.

Kind of late to comment on your layout issues. It would seen to me that having vehicle doors around the back side, or at least toward the rear on one or both sides, would give you more access, less shifting of stuff. That said, if you keep your small vehicles and DD's toward the doors, and put the longer term project spaces toward the rear, then you would only have to move one DD car to enter/exit the rear work spaces.

So I've finally made some tangible progress on my garage. I've been really busy doing the grade work inside and outside the building. Inside the building I've had to put down three tri-axle dump truck loads of crushed stone for the base. Outside the building has has been graded about 90%. The concrete crew showed up yesterday at eight am and didn't leave until about 11:30 pm. I'm glad I bit the bullet and paid a pro to come in here and do the concrete work. There were six guys here working for over fifteen hours. The surface has been power troweled or(burned) to a beautiful tight surface. They also poured the man door pads on the outside. The building crew is coming back today to change some incorrect trim and install the shutters on the windows. Once the trim goes on the stone crew will be here to do the front facia(wainscoting). And the gutters go up next week too. This has been a lot of work, but it will be worth it when it's finished. If I can get the wife to take some pics, I'll try to post something tonight.

So with winter just about over I can get back on track with my garage. Due to some big problems with my builder and them not having renewed their contractors license in my state for 2013, the C.O was delayed for two months. I should finally be getting it on monday. Once I have it I can finally occupy the garage.
