Got the dog to catch things now. She must be retarded. So far we've got sit, laydown, sit up, and catching food you toss to her. Shake and stay are things we are having trouble with.

I got my GSD through a rescue group when he was two years old. He was calm as fuck around people and other dogs, but he hates cats. I have tried to get him to tolerate them, but no luck. I like cats, so I don't have one now. I often walk him on the Clemson campus, where there are an abundance of strays, and he routinely trees one or two each time. Sometimes the cats are too slow, like Monday night, when he got his 17th. He also hates possums, squirrels, goats, horses, and any critter that isn't a dog or a person. He shows no racial tendency, and he is particularly fond and often protective of very small dogs. He occasionally sneaks off to hunt alone, which really pisses me off, but he's well known in town and usually gets a ride back home, several times he has been returned in a police car, and on a couple of occasions he has been gone a few days, journeying as far as Virginia Tech and Charleston, SC. I don't know how many critters he has slain when he was on his own but his current confirmed score is 25, one short of Eddie Rickenbacker, who also got his 25th and 26th in October.

I must be mechanically incompetent... I took the cluster out to try to diagnose my broken speedo/odo/trip and it won't go back in the same way it came out. Dumb bezel around it doesn't line up. and the cluster won't budge so I just took it out completely and it' sitting on my bed. I'll go cluster-less for a day. it's a good thing I got a full tank yesterday....
