Turns out the air filter is a special California edition and is over $50. Explains its age kind of but wow.

I measured dimensions and it’s the exact same as the air filter for the Ford F-150, i will purchase one for $7 and it’s done! Great car took me home 2 hours in the condition, topped off coolant and oil and nothing was used on arrival.

Well I mean I pretty much have one it’s at my dads in AZ. Just not my ish dudes. Maybe one day I’ll see the light.

I never knew these came out as turbodiesel. Also, seems weird looking at the cluster without the econo gauge.

But, these are really solid cars. They'd go on forever.

The temp is actually overheating but all it took is topping off coolant since it was sitting for a year.

First thing I did was ask seller to not start it, very important to hear a diesel’s cold start.
If it spits and sputters for 5 seconds pass.


I added a quart of oil to lube the valves . And put in a bottle of ordinary diesel fuel injector premixed with 2 gallons of fresh diesel.


With a 2 second shot of starting fluid in the air intake, She started the second turn and ran and ran and ran.
Started up this morning second turn again!
Car’s oil is pitch black like ink, will change tonight after work, and yes I drove her to work anyways to change tires.
She’s passing ordinary camrys and accords the whole way with a whistle and a PSSSST... at every shift.

even after an oil change the oil will be pitch black after you run it for a minute
