Well me and my current met at the age of 15 and started dating when I was 16 so it's a different situation.

Eh I'm the same about everything but I drink every so often, and I'd consider myself pretty social.

Just meet some new friends it sounds to me like you had some shitty friends or something.... Move to California and all my friends can be all your friends :D I have tons of friends age 19-25.

To each there own, we're both very happy with each other I honestly don't see us ever breaking up. Ill probably propose once were both out of college and have good careers going for us.

Another good place to meet people for you younger guys is at school. You don't have to go full time or anything just take a class or two and meet some friends and it will only get better from there.

I may have to try this. I also live in a small area filled full of old people. Most people my age have already left. I plan on moving down to the valley in a few months though.

I would find it super difficult to live in Cali, but I could always visit.

Practice on all people, people who are good with other people are usually better with women too, you learn to lead, carry or follow in a conversation based on practice, listening, and body language. It's all about being proud of your self and not worrying about minor details that give your social skills a boost. Manners help too, manner seem to not exist in big cities and it sticks out positively to strangers when they hear you speak.

If you end up in the west valley let me know I'm not in town much but I can play wing man for you.

I like to think I carry myself well in conversation, though my body language is atrocious. Manners are not an issue for me, as I always hold doors, say please and thank you, and give respect in conversation. My confidence is shaky at best and I'm more a quiet type observer. I usually have not much to say in conversation whatsoever.

I will be in the Tempe area for a few months after I move, but after I really don't know where I will end up.

These things are somewhat mutually exclusive. Listening is an important skill, but saying nothing is not that. Quickest thing that makes the wifey mad is when I don't have anything to say to her amazing work stories :)

I'll toss myself in the mix for a solid wing manning session next time I'm on the west coast. e30e is supplying some good advice. Just be confident and don't sweat getting burnt by chicks...we all strike out, you just gotta be willing to step up to the plate.

                      Thizzelle is cracking me up.

I will beg to differ on the reasons for online dating. It's something I've tried, and not for a lack of social skills or ability to engage women. My reason is that I work full time and I'm in school. I really don't have time to go out much, and it's also hard to meet quality women out at bars or clubs. Yes, messing around is fun, but at some point in your life you want something more than that. Online dating gives you the ability to streamline the process for those of us who don't have much time. It has worked out decently for me, I've been dating someone I met on Match.com for a few months now.

honestly OP, if you really wanna get comfortable with da womenz, take an intro acting class, esp. one where you are assigned a partner. it'll cost you about 150 a month but you'll get SOOOOOOOOOO freakin comfy around all kinds of hot chicks it'll make your head spin.

i was very much like you, I had many chics think I was cute, until i spoke to them. Then I just got all awkward and shit.

After taking acting classes, they would come over to my place to go over scripts and shit while my gf wasn't home and it was awesome! and sometimes the script would get pretty heavy, so then we'd kiss. The gf didn't liek ti much but quickly got over it.

Now when I meet a hawt chic, I have no problems talking to them like they were ugly. I even had this one striipper in vegas give me her number ( I didnt' even pay for a lap dance and wasnt' feeling too good after drinking too much blueberry vodka). We still keep in touch to this day.
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!
