I think I'm the only one here that likes the donk the most.
Anybody into GM G-body cars?

Gs are awesome. You can fit any motor/engine combo you want, and all the Grand National and Monte Carlo SS stuff bolts in. If you can find a GN 200 trans and posi rear, grab it.
Also these cars are pretty lightweight, not much over 3000 lbs I think. A malibu coupe with a 4 headlight ElCo grill looks awesome.Comment

But yeah, it is true that the car has a bad rap because of the prolific donkery that goes on with these things. It's sad, because the same car can be a bad ass muscle car that runs 9s.Comment

i love G-bodys! Never had a Malibu though, just a 81 Regal and 85 Grand National
My grandma still has her 78 Monte Carlo that she bought brand new and has been garage kept since the day she bought it. A couple of my friends in high school had the Malibus. One was like the maroon one that was posted, and the other was an ex cop car, but it was a 2 door! Both had 350s. Also, there is a gold Malibu around here that shows up at the shows, and it has a big block with 4 speed in it!!!

I love the g-body! The two doors and wagons are such awesome platforms. If I can't get in a mid 60s muscle car then I will probably try to pick up a g-body to mess with. Almost picked up a 64 Tempest to make similar to the 64 GTO my dad used to own but missed out, now trying for a 65 skylark.Comment

Funny, I was just looking at an Auto and RV magazine and IIRC there was a Chevy Malibu in it that caught my eye, looked similar to the burgandy one posted except it was blue. I thought it looked pretty rad, a lot less flashy than a Camaro yet still looked like it was down to business.Comment
