That's y I'm into the whole electric drift thing. It's all steering & throttle control when you get into countersteer drift. Only thing that sucks is making up track/ practice layouts. Don't think I'd ever get into touring cars.

Only thing that worries me is lipos exploding.

For those wondering about countersteer drifting its all about mimicing real life drift. Unlike 50/50 drift which is more like 4wd rally drifts

It really is not a problem. At our track we banned lipo warmers though. A friend needed a touch more punch at the start, and didn't have a controlled warmer, so he put it in a tire warmer he had...they got too hot and only puffed. Discharged and tossed in the trash. We've only had fires from people doing really stupid stuff, but mainly just smoke billowing out of the body.

I used to fly planes too, and a friend was big into the electrics, downed quite a few and ended up with bent soft body lipos...only smoke, a few burnt firewalls..

Easy to avoid, don't short them out or charge with a ni-mh charger.

I had a helicopter go down once and suck the wires into the main gear. Had a bit of smoke but luckily no fire...

^Always, and I kept my lipos in them for storage. Never had a problem, but I didn't want $8k worth of rc stuff up in flames...nor my house.

Also helps to buy packs with removable connector's, that way you can eliminate any chances of shorting out in storage.

My two favorite TCs that I owned, and wiring jobs that made me proud:

Power wires were unequal length also to avoid wrong polarity.

AE TC5, painted the CF edges too:

Shumacher Mi4LP, I loved the handling of this once I figured out the ackerman oddities:

Hey, does anyone happen to have one of the HPI 2002 bodies? I want to get measurements off of it to see if it will fit my 1/16th rally.

                                Save a track!

Hey guys, we have a local track up here in the sticks which has been shut down due to some out of town transplant complaining about noise.

Please like the page and help get the track re-opened.

The track has been operational for over 15 years, and it apparently only took one whiner to shut it down. Sad day for the locals who have volunteered for many years keeping it up and running.

                                Thanks!
