Done. Last track I remember was right next to the local junkyard. Pretty sweet. Go hunting at the yard then hit the track right after. No noise complaints since already in an industrial area.
On a different note. Any of you guys using setup boards? The Hudy board is stupid expensive & I've been looking for a cheap alternative. I'm tired of "guesstimating" my settings with DIY camber gauges & rulers.

That seems to be the consensus, lose the Nytros, which I think is BS.
It's not like the track is in the city, it's in a tiny rural town in the middle of nowhere for the most part.Comment

If you're racing, just get the Hudy tweak and setup station, along with a torque plate for the chassis...if PPD still sells them. Ah he does here
You can also look for the old Hudy plexiglass stuff on ebay, or go with something like this:

Darn that's really a bummer, but nitro sounds do get quite annoying if your a homeowner nearby. Our track was somewhat supported by the city, as it provided a safe place to hang out, was in a public park, and in the eyes of the city kept quite a few from participating in something else not so healthy.
I would say approach the city with a plan and reason why it should stay, and a way to keep it looking nice, with some safety. Anything to make it look appealing, even with the noise.
Your track has the beginnings of something quite attractive to both parties. Do you guys run it as a non-profit? Have a board, etc?

That's the thing, there is no City per se. The total population is only 4600 or so.
There is a comittee working for the re-opening, but it's a pretty informal operation. It's 100% community volunteer operated.
The argument is relatively simple. Give the youth something to do besides blowing up mailboxes and tipping cows.Comment

Anyone ever deanodize a brushless motor? I stripped my ehole chassis now my motor doesn't match.
I figured I should take it apart, but I don't know what to do with the stator as its bonded to the case.

Whats the scoop on that r2Hobbies rig... Found it for cheap. Seems like a nice setup for the price.

Seems to be the best bang for buck CS chassis on the market. Only issue of course being a clone u get what u pay for. So don't expect a perfect chassis out the box.
Check it vvv. I'd forget about the yokomos unless you have a place to get parts

This makes me question why I bought a Brand new 29er. Now I want a RC Touring car....
Is there anything in the >200$ Range that would be a good start for me? I was looking at the tt-01 and the HPI E10 but then i still need to buy a body, controller, batterys etc.
Kinda want something decent that i could get kitted out for around 200$ for now.
