Well buddy. Pile the greens and red meat on the plate and smack yourself when you hit the freezer for an ice cream sammitch. ( unless its those mini ice cream sammies with only 30g carbs/cals) -
Crazy what eating right will do to your lifts. my PR is 505x2..........before all the hip mumbojumbo. I pulled 350x3 yesterday and it felt like I was trying to lift the earth.......Leave a comment:

I've been going in the morning before work, getting there at 6am for about 3 months now, I LOVE IT. I do a scoop of MusclePharm Assault on the way, and just water while working out. About 20-30 minutes of cardio, and then about another 20-30 of strength training. Training fasted and first thing in the morning totally pumps me up for the whole day, I feel amazing.Tried something new today. The wife and I have crazy schedules and have been trying to get the gym in at the end of the day. Ends up burning up our evening and we stay up way to late. So we decided to go before our day started. We walked into the gym at 5:15 this morning.
I freakin loved it, training fasted, it was like my adrenal glands kicked into overdrive. I just had water, no pre workout or anything, crazy pump and really vascular.Leave a comment:

I've experimented without preworkout, and with preworkout, and I just like the small boost at the beginning of the workout. It's practically like having a coffee, or better yet, like a shot of espresso. I'm passed all that "pure natural lift nonsense", I only take protein and I switch between preworkouts and have had great results. All numbers going up and I have yet to plateau.Preworkouts are nothing but vitamins and caffiene and other shit you should be getting plenty of with natural raw foods. Would stay away from that stuff....
Like I said, small black coffee and some basic fruit. There is enough sugar in 1 banana to keep you going well beyond a 2 hour workout. Having a high protein snack or shake before bed is always preferred regardless of lifting or not. Sleepy time = muscle repair time.
I'll be sure to have a fruit in the morning also, and I have been trying to stay away from late time eating, but i think I'll start having a shake before bed. It makes more sense
Lets see if I wake up tomorrow in time lol
Thanks for the response scabzzzz!Leave a comment:

Definitely eating after, just wondering if I could eat a meal at night, digest it, and take a preworkout the morning of and make it through a 90 minute lifting session.Leave a comment:

Small black coffee, water, and a banana works for me. You should still have a protein shake after, or better yet a low carb high protein full meal after. Bacon, eggs, greek yogurt, oats etc..Leave a comment:

Going to try and start lifting every morning real early (5am) because of school and work. Any tips? Should I eat the night before? Preworkout? Coffee? Small breakfast? Anyone chime in!Leave a comment:

I was wondering what happened to this thread....Pulled for the first time in about 5-6 weeks.....long enough to where I can't remember. worked up and hit 320lbs. for 12. Hammies are a little sore but no hip pain! Chest today and then squats tomorrow.....that'll be the test.
Strongly suggested by my powerlifting chiropractor I went back to sumo. I saw him 3-4 times over the last couple weeks, stretching me and working on my alignment. I have really long legs and a short torso, so we determined that sumo is a much better stance for me. I also really worked hard on one focal point during the lift, I can;t believe how much that helped my balance.....I kept the weight on my heels the entire pull.....
Really excited to start lifting heavy again.
Good to hear bro. I'm hitting the chiropractor next week to see whats up with a little tweak in my shoulder.
As for me, I'm running strictly Olympic lifts now and will be for the rest of the winter. Heavy caloric intake, running triples, doubles, and singles here on out until its time to cut again. Gonna give the sumo deads a shot too!Leave a comment:

I have been having serious issues with my hip. After talking with a good friend thats a PT, i think I'm throwing in the towel and getting a script for physical therapy. I'm in pain probably 85-90% of the day now. We did conclude it may have to do with the fact that i switched from sumo style squatting and pulling to conventional. He thinks its a case where one of my flexor muscle is,severely under developed in relation to the other which is making my hip rotate forward cause the muscle and joint pain. Hopefully I get it figured out. Until then i think squatting and pulling are off limits, they only seem to make things worse no matter how much i watch my form and keep the weight liggt.Leave a comment:

I can make up excuses too, jk.
I've been running 531 straight taking only days off when I feel like it, which is maybe once every 5 or 6 days. I've also skipped deload weeks the last two cycles. Feelsgoodman.
BTW, 5s week is the worst.Leave a comment:

That stuff is awesome, I've been using it for quite awhile. Totally missed my workout this morning. We had a power outage sometime last night and needless to say none of the alarms worked.Leave a comment:
