That's awesome. I ran my 1st gen iMac from '97 until it died in '03 (still ran like a champ until then), and I'll do the same with my iBook.
Kills me that 2 people I know JUST bought new laptops, they both wanted macs, but I told them to hold off until the new intel laptops came out...missed it by less than a week.-Brandon

Numbers don't always mean everything. Older G4 towers with 1-1.5Ghz processors were always benchmarking faster than 2.5-3Ghz PC units. Same goes for the G5s, G4 laptops, etc.
Also, speed doesn't always mean a computer is better. You guys are handicapped by the shittiness of your OS, so everyone feels they should make up for that with high Ghz numbers just to sell.

Clock rate means the chip is faster than another, given the same chip. However, some chips can perform more operations on a single cycle than other chips.... Clock rate does sell chips though .... 1 gigahertz OMG!!1!
Wonder when Intel will finally release their 64bit chips....San Diego BMW repair -> Jake @ www.littlecarshop.com Great guy

You do realize that the reason Apple has been successful over the past couple of year is due to the return of Steve Jobs, and the adoption of the NeXT Computers' project that resulted in OS X?
