this from a person with 4 2002s(only one of which runs) and enough guns that i forget how many.

if you really think your behavior needs modification the first thing to do-

    -delete the app.

    -then remove c/l from desktop/favorites

lastly, concentrate on finishing your current projects. actually flip the wheel sets and then you'll have the memory of how much work it is.

it's a good thing to admit you have a problem- always the first step.

Might seem weird but it makes it very easy to keep my living expenses (I've got kids and stuff) so I can always pay my bills.
I sorta do this with my paypal. It's 95% used for car stuff, and i buy more car stuff after selling some car stuff. I've never added to it but it's currently at like $5 since I ran out of good parts.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

it makes things much easier to manage. I like that I can use the fund as I please for whatever with no permission/input from anyone else.

I still occasionally buy parts with our regular money but that's few and far between.

I use my PayPal primarily for my shift boot business, but I track it really well to keep personal stuff separate.

The key is to not drain the fund, with $5 and no good parts you're stuck. :(

I had a pretty good run of "good deals" when I was in Germany. Thanks to the profits from selling E30 parts, I was able to spend a LOT of time on the nurburgring. Wouldn't have been possible otherwise!

about 1/2 my wheel inventory (the pretty ones) at the time

When I came to the states, this stash of goodies paid off my E28 M5... pretty cool!

Finding CL deals aren't a problem as long as you have a goal. If your just stashing because you "have to have" then your being silly. Those E38's you could redrill and refinish and sell them for a profit. A set of polish on the RS's and you could triple your investment. I would sell what I didn't need and keep the things I liked. Although I did have a GREAT set of RS211/075's that I sold for too cheap and really wish I could use them on the M5 now:(

If I find something on craigslist, I will usually wait until the next day before buying it. If I still want it, then I'll get it.

That's usually what I try. It takes me more like 2-3 days though :/

Thanks man, I wish you luck.

The rule about no additional funds makes it easy to decide what to keep and what to flip. I wish I had a garage, I would buy shitboxes, redo the interior, and flip them.

I understand this problem, I have a set of 4 lug 16" hartges, 17" 5 lug mille miglia 1000's, plus a set of 17" wheels for my mustang. All in storage waiting for "someday"
