Slick info tip #1: Don't paint "Country and Western is rubbish," "Hillary for President," "Nascar sucks" or "Man Love Rules Okay" on the side of your car. Even if the paint isn't permanent.Comment

I live in the Cumming/ Johns Creek/ Alpharetta/ Suwanee area. I really like it because I'm 40 minutes away from Atlanta, and a little over an hour away from the mountains. The car scene is great in this area. I love fact that I live 15 minutes away from Caffeine and octane, 5 minutes away from a great local meet, and a little over an hour away from one of the Biggest German car shows in the US, Southern Worthersee in Helen, Ga. For college, I live in Statesboro, Ga. It's a pretty big shit hole. The only good thing about it is that its 40 minutes away from Savannah. Statesboro, Ga is like a shittier version of Merced, CA. I can't wait to transfer to Georgia Tech and live in Atlanta.Comment

Nor is it really that hot either. Maybe the past 5 years have been unseasonably cool but North Georgia (down by Florida is another matter) never got any hotter or more humid than back in Kansas City. Most times cooler and its a rare occurrence to break 100. I'll definitely take that to not have sub-zero winters.
Pollen, yeah, that could be the kicker. Thankfully I'm not allergic.Im now E30less.

Bumping my old thread.....Looks like the e30 will be in GA next month. I will be making the trip early april, and will be leaving it with the inlaws. Then in june, packing this show up and heading down. My wife and I are going to start in Loganville, live with the inlaws for a bit then get jobs and move. Anyone LMSW/social workers in the state? At first I will be looking to turn wrenches for income unless I get a job in my field.

I cant tell you about Loganville but tint is like 28% but everyone does 30% and 25 years old is the cut off for emissions inspections (the 85 Eta didnt need it). No safety inspection at all.
One of the best things about GA car wise is they actually register the status of your insurance and its reported to the state. That makes it a bit harder for assholes to drive around without insurance.
Im moving OTP soon, Cobb county. Thankfully only 3 miles OTP, I couldnt do that living out in the sticks shit, I work in the city. You can get around traffic sideways but the into the city in the morning and out of the city in the evening would make you want to swallow lead.Im now E30less.
