^I say wait till the hardware/OS are reviewed. If one has terrible lag jumping in and out like both current consoles, then I will skip it. Also, launch games for a year will, as usual, be few, and even less great.

I will be playing Halo 3 till the servers shut down. When that happens all the X1 issues will be fixed.

Microsoft is using way slower ram + having massive yield problems from the factory and is having down downclock the GPU to avoid another RROD shit.

Plus they are trying to use eDRAM to make up for how slow GDDR3 runs, and they are reserving 3gb of ram at all times for the OS. (lol)

Which was caused by thermal expansion and contraction, and problems with the ball soldering process.

Still, can't claim which is better yet, and even so, my guess is they will both pale in comparison to PC gaming ;-)

I will own both, but the biggest choice for me is which online service friends gravitate towards.
