Holland, we should hang out more. I've got some Initial D books here if that would influence your decision.

FC RX7 convertible is a damn good handler as well. Hard top not so much, the tons of extra framing and the ginormous brakes make the vert so much better tighter.
But a well sorted e30 is tough to beat. They just feel like go-carts. Sure there's cars that handle better, but even a slow e30 is fun to drive.
Mitsubishi Starion...my first and one of my favorite cars......handle very well but are very unpredictable. Never know when the rear end is going to slide out, the e30s...even when they do break loose are very easy to control.
As for which one would be faster around a track, that's a hard tell. But handling is more based on the driver, anyway.
I've surprised a lot of people with my Dodge Ram in the twisties, sticking right with their Acuras with full coilovers, huge sway bars, and such. Not saying I'm a racecar driver, but I can handle a vehicle once I feel comfortable with it.
Plus turning is a lot more than just spinning the wheel, throttle control, braking, weight transfer and using body movements to your advantage...etc are all things that need to be learned before any car will handle well.

Saw some one posted about c4 vettes a few posts ago. Anybody have experience tracking them? I like the 80's styling, ability to run crazy track meat with stock fenders, how cheap they are now, plus from what I understand its a good mix of amurican muscle and a racing oriented suspension, and I have a very close family friend who is a fanatic(but he doesn't track it so he can't really speak to this).
So yea I wana build one but don't know how it really compares to a little e30 feel wise.
