Who has ridden a Bicycle and a Unicycle?

    Grüßgott!

I was a unicycle owner 13 months ago (see photo) and I'm thinking of getting another one. Oddly enough I hadn't been planning on a unicycle but I started looking for something light, cheap, manual and direct drive for some casual quad bombing, and the unicycle naturally came to the top of my list

I'm also thinking of a bicycle because there is so much price overlap, so I'd welcome any feedback from anyone who has ridden both. Also, does anyone know the weight difference between a carbon road bicycle and a LTW drift unicycle or a recumbent? I've watched with dismay over the years as the unicycles got heavier and heavier, and I want to learn race pedaling in a light human powered transportation device.

    Cheers!

Who has ridden a Bicycle and a Unicycle?

I watched a drunk guy finish off a bottle of tequila while riding a unicycle around a beer pong table in a barn once. Sad part was the he could ride it better than the sober people.

I came into this thread not expecting this pro-level of unicycle - am totally lost.
I have ridden a knobbly tyre unicycle on some hills though

Yeah, when I moved, I just couldn't take it with me, I knew the harsh winters up here would render copious havoc upon my so loved ride. I knew I couldn't find the proper cover to protect it and I'm sure the horses would have bothered it. Thanks for keeping it's spirit alive!

Get yourself a partner & a tandem recumbent. Twice the power output of a standard bicycle or unicycle, lower center of gravity, and only a minor weight penalty. Also, you can get a faring to be more aerodynamic, and if it's shaped properly you can paint it like a giant penis so there's no doubt about your sexuality. Not that there is usually any kind of doubt involved when 2 men ride the same bike.

I do a lot of mountain biking. One day I rode a unicycle about a foot, but then I fell off. I had no idea unicycles even got like the one pictured though, that's pretty sick.

The bicycle is about 30-50 pounds lighter, but imo the bicycle is always the way to go
