I always respected you, I do even more now.

I lost 2 friends that were ON flight 77, I lost another that was serving in the Pentagon when it was hit.

My boss was sitting in traffic on Washington Blvd, when the plane flew over and HIT THE BUILDING, sending mortar and metal pieces onto her car.

This 9/11 never happened shit pisses me off more than anyone can imagine.

The people that talk this shit, they weren't there, they didn't have loved ones involved and on the planes. They didn't see the pentagon burning less than a mile from their home. They didn't live with fighter jets and military copters as the only things in the sky over DC for over a month. They didn't live with armed forces guarding MOST of the corners around their homes. I did. I know you, or at least your family did.

I haven't said anything up to this point when these "conspiracy" posts are posted, but damn. People need to get a life and let the men and women that died, be remembered as heroes. Not as pawns in their own country's game.

The Japanese had sent a telegram to the US consulate informing them of their intentions, but it had not been recieved by the president or anyone else in a high ranking position.

The US, as well as the rest of the world was still in an econonomic depression, and was still entrenched in a policy of isolationism. They wanted nothing to do with the war in Europe, and the US, like Russia before them simply scoffed at Japan. Japan's strategy against Russia in 1905 was to score a series of quick decisive victories, startle the large country, and work out a deal. They were successful with this tactic against Russia. They figured that this strategy would work against the US, who had been strangling control of the oil supply to the Japanese empire. FDR's popularity was high upon his election in the 30's, but had dropped significantly by 1941, so getting into a war which the American public did not support for the most part was not on his agenda. The Japanese knew this, and figured a quick strike on some small US Islands and territories would force the US into a more favorable trading position.

I do not believe that 9/11 was some elaborate hoax with fake planes, and missiles and junk. However, it has been proven that Bush knew about 9/11 before it happened and did nothing to stop it. On August 6th, Bush was given a report that explained how Bin Laden was going to attack the US with planes. Condoleeza Rice confirmed this on camera, in front of Congress and even said that the title of the report was "Bin Laden determined to attack the US". Immediately after 9/11 Bush started telling intelligence officials that they better find a link between 9/11 and Saddam Hussein. When they came back and told him that there was no link, he fired all of them. Do any of you remember the Valerie Plame scandal? Her husband, Joe Wilson, was sent to investigate Iraq buying Uranium from Niger. When he returned to the US and told Bush that Iraq was not buying Uranium from anybody, he was fired and not long afterwards his wifes name was leaked. World War 2 was great for this country. Our economy was at one of it's highest points, and we came out as one of the worlds super powers. The Iraq war has been horrible for our country. The American dollar is worth only a fraction of what it was 10 years ago, there are almost 2.5 percent less jobs in this country, and the stock market has gone no where. 9/11 was the best thing to happen to Bush. He was able to divert all of our hard earned money straight into the pockets of the likes of Dick Cheney. Halliburton has made over 10 billion dollars off of the war, Dick Cheneys stock options have risen over 3,000%. If you dont think that something is up with this administration then you are just plain dumb.

There are a couple of things that bug me about 9/11.

I have not read any of the conspiracy theory websites. I just have a few questions that I wish our leaders could/would answer.

1. The collapse of the towers was the worst structural failure in history, as far as I know, and the investigation should have looked at the metallurgy up close to find out exactly what mechanism caused the collapse. Remember Flight 800? They spent millions bringing the wreckage up from the ocean floor and reconstructing it in a hangar. The twin tower wreckage was unceremoniously and quickly hauled away and recycled with little or no official investigation. Given the number of casualties, and the possibility of learning to construct buildings more resistant to this sort of damage, I want to know why a full-blown forensic investigation did not take place.

2. At no time in history has a steel frame building collapsed due to fire alone, as was the case with WTC 7. It wasn't hit by anything! Go look at the pictures from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Many of the steel frames are still standing-even after an atomic blast and comensurate inferno. WTC 7 had a fire on a few floors, was up to code on fire control and sprinkler systems, but fell down "all by itself" conveniently within it's footprint as did WTC 1 and 2. Structural failures are seldom so predictable.

3. Why all the secrecy about the videos that are said to exist detailing a plane crashing into the Pentagon. Anytime a plane crashes and is caught on tape it's played over and over on the evening news...why have we not seen this in the case of the Pentagon? A student here in town has a father who works for NTSB. The student states that his father is privately doubtful about the type of aircraft that hit the Pentagon, due to the pattern of wreckage and small debris field. I don't know enough to make a judgement, that's just what he said.

4. 9/11 happened when I lived in Nashville and was working as a musician. Our keyboard player's wife was a flight attendant with American. When she was told to report back to work after a week, she inquired about being issued a new keycard or code to access the gates, but was told they weren't issuing new cards/codes. She felt uneasy about this, as there were no new safeguards in place to make sure compromised cards/codes were voided. I still want to know why. It would have been an easy thing to do, but someone apparently knew the danger was past. How?

That's it. Just a few questions that should be easily answered to convince me, a taxpayer, that my government doesn't believe I'm a moron who will swallow any old story as long as it's repeated enough times by enough people.

And I dont neccessarily believe people should be heroes automatically for going to work. Its sad that it happened and I have nothing but the deepest condolences for the senseless death and destruction of innocent human lives, but if they knew shit would happen, no one would have gone to work that day. That aint no hero to me, lol. Now the troops and firemen and policemen who died, thats a different story all together.
