http://www.ncttora.com/FSM/ Enjoy. Also Yota tech and pirate 4x4 are both good sites for information on these trucks.

Haynes manual for the yota is utterly useless. Other then rust they don't really fail too badly. If you have IFS then the weak link is the ball joints. Brakes from the newer V6 trucks are 4 pot and have larger discs and will bolt right to the truck.

Popular swap for the truck is the 5VZ-FE V6 from the first generation Tacoma and 3rd gen 4runner. Another fun one that I have seen is the 7M-GTE swap form a Supra. I have been looking to see if an M20 will bolt to any of the Toyota RWD transmissions. I would love to turbo and swap an M20 into a Yota. Or a 2JZ.

I was just thinking that the other day. I feel like a m20b27 would make a great small truck engine with its torque. My 22re is really slow but I LOVE the fuel economy so fare.

Sadly my radio is still acting up and it seams like it isn't getting constant power as every time I turn the car off the radio forgets all it's settings. I have to yank it out again.

I did some work on the SR5 today in preparation for the aluminum shell with racks I should be receiving in two weeks. Im stoke. Planning a few other small things for the truck, but I have to work on a very tight budget as I am ones again jobless. No I didnt get fired :)
I had to drill out all the riveted buttons for the old soft cover, and then weld the holes shut. Painted everything with some truck bed liner for the the new shell to sit one. Came out looking nice and clean.

Finely received and had my aluminum camper top installed today. There are a few spot on the top I have issues with as fare as build quality, but nothing bad enough for me to raise an issue about.
Im actually really happy with it, and its the first expensive part I have bought for this truck that has worked out for me. Every other one of my projects has gone so fare south for different resins.
I also stuck some Bilstein shock in the front of the truck, the rear shocks are still in the mail.
I wish I could get these dam brakes sorted, but all the parts I got from Auto Parts Warehouse have been wrong. Never ever do business with them! They truly suck to deal with.

Got some new Brembo rotors and ATE pads on the truck as well as a system bleed. Feels so much better.

Clean second gen man. Needs a SAS and some lift. Then you're in business;) I'm going to be getting a first gen in the next couple months. Keep it up dude!

Thanks man! Im not sure on the SAS and lift. Im not really planning on doing any hard core off roading. Maybe the occasional fire road or snow driving.

My 22re just took a shit. I think a broke a rocker but I haven't had the top off to look at anything yet. I was all loaded up for vacation on the way to my moms to pick up more stuff. Going up a hill complaining about how lame the 22re is, shifted into third from 4th to get back up to speed and pop!
                                So annoying!
No I have to spend my whole vacation wondering what's wrong.
