Thanks. Im super happy to have a working truck again.
I just ordered a set of 16x8 Black Rock 942 Type D steel wheels with P235/70R16 Kumho Road Venture AT tires. Should be here Thursday. Oh and a new steering damper.

I like those wheels. Where did you order from? I'm only seeing 15" from a quick look at Tirerack.

Thanks. It was only showing 15" when I looked on my phone. I must have had a vehicle loaded or something.

I've got an 88 4Runner with Tacoma steelies on it. They're doing the job, but I've had my eye the style rim you got for a while.

Got my new wheels and tires a day early :)
Not so happy about the lettering. I thought the letters would be white so I had them mounted facing out. Instead they were a weird turquoise and the paint is everywhere. I am going to have to clean that up some how.

Supposedly it scrubs off and is just a protective coating.

Yes, scrub your tires gents. The blue stuff comes right off. Actually the tire shop should have washed it off for you.

Some ass mother fucker cut the cat off of my truck last week. Set me back $321 for a new cat + work (had to get t fixed ASAP for work so I took it to a shop instead of welding it my self) and a day of work which is about $90 right now. What a fucked up thing to do! They only made maybe $20. Id like to beet the shit out of them.
Had the Sheriff come out and right a report, and he even bagged the saws all blade they left under the truck and took it with him lol
He kept telling me he though I did it to my self jokingly

Go to your local walgreens and buy some of this product in the 'as seen on tv' shelf, it's called 'WipeNew' and put it on your plastic trim. It was reviewed as the best longest lasting trim restorer by consumer reports. It'll be the icing on the cake man, your truck looks really really good. and if theres extra in the bottle, put it on your red seat belt buttons.

Bad day for the truck! It got in a fight with a Chevy's ball hitch and got hit in the face. Well really the Chevy got brake checked, which meant I got brake checked and even though I had a good car length between us I still slid into him.
No real bad damage I cant fix.

I made $25/hour helping this guy move yesterday, so I made all the money I need to order one of these.

I did some wor on the new bumper today. I like it.
Its a Trail-Gear bumper. All the welds are really nice, but the mounting hole locations are a bit off. I dont know if its my truck or their work. Some of the holes line up fine, but others are off by a lot. The two tabs that stuck off of the back and mounted to two point above where the old bumper used to be were so off I had to cut them off and weld them back on again. This got all the holes a lot closer, but I still have to take my die grinder to a few of them to get the bolts to fit through correctly.
I cut the mounting locations for the turn signals out of the bumper, modified them a bit, and welded them to the bumper. I also added mounting tabs for the fog lights. I think it turned out well.

These are the tabs I had to cut off and relocate.

Here you can kind of see where they used to be. They moved up about 3/8" Id say. Excuse the messy welds I only had flux care around because my friend left my tank on and all the gas leaked out. Not happy about that.

This was before I relocated those tabs.

                                This was after. Definitely closer.

Here are the turn indicator brackets I made out of the original bumper.

                                And mounted.
