Subaru. Wrx or legacy gt. Just my opinion but they've been extremely reliable for me and still decent mpg. My STi got 24-28mpg unless I was being a dick

I've seen e39 mt for as low $13000. Honestly I'd get a wrangler TJ and swap a 5.3.

Buy an E30 for $500, dump $9500 into it.

And you plan on getting that for 10k? The only car I've seen fully restored the way you described has 15-20k into it and thousands of hours of work, and it's not a touring in the states which will probably be nearly 10k for a clean stock car.

Something French or Italian, but only as a third car.

Or buy something off of BaT, always something interesting to mention at C&C. I managed to swoop in an grab my E28 Hartge for under 10k.

Immaculate early model 2 door E30(proper bumpers, not rubbish diving boards). Burgundrot. Aluminium M52B28 + coilovers and other typical suspension/chassis, and driveline mods.

    Non E30. 2GR-FE swapped SW20, or KL-ZE swapped NA MX5/Miata.
