              Oh god i had this weird looking nervous smile on my face all seven minute of that - must have looked like a maniac sitting here.

                No chance in hell, get a little nauseated just watching that. Heights and confined spaces aren't good with me. How long would it take to climb that SOB for real?

                    1,100 feet basically straight up? probably several hours to get to the top, do your work, and climb back down. I bet they only do one of these in a day.

                      They get a elevator ride to 1600 feet.

                      Still, a 178 foot climb is no slouch, and you're still 1768 feet in the air.

                        I thought it was taller than that for some reason. but yeah, it's not a fun climb. I don't like ladders that go straight up even when they're only ~20ft. Plus that thing probably moves around in the wind - I've climbed some coker structures that are only ~100ft tall and they sway all over the place.
