yeah, i think i did that way back when i got it, but doesn't that just help load car profiles and models faster? i'll check again when i get home..

What other options could i do besides just quick race for this track?

It loads the entire content of the CD to the hard drive and runs the game from that only using the CD as a verification that you still own the game IIRC
