    Well I don't need big towing capacity or hauling power.
    I just need a lot of room for some ~6ft model airplane wings and such

    The beds on compact trucks are just the perfect length for them. Problem for me going with wagons or SUVS, even though everything should fit with the seats folded down, that means I can only have 1 passenger with me.

    As far as I know, the 4 banger Tacomas get pretty good mileage?
    Their website says 25/35mpg but that's probably being very optimistic. If those figures are pretty accurate, that's the same as my E30....
    As for handling, I don't really know what to compare it to.
    I'm not going to like driving a truck around as opposed to my E30, but I'd rather not have 2 cars at this point.

            My 2000 Tundra longbed V6 got 19 city 24 highway. 15/19 fully loaded, 13/17 loaded and towing a 3000lb trailer.
