I vote sonic HB 1.4teerbo or sedan.

Picked up an lt hatch two weeks ago and love it, pretty much loaded and under 20k out the door. Don't know what their lease options are but worth a look IMO

Fact is that your claim of diesel engines having more parts to fail is bullshit.

Actually they run about the same. low pressure or delivery pump, high pressure pump, injectors, fuel pressure sensor, fuel temp sensor, cam and crank sensor, vvt and so on. The newer crop of DI diesels are fun to drive but expensive as fuck to fix.

Try pricing a HHP failure on a TDI done right. Try pricing the catalyst those use. Not to mention EGR setup plugging intakes and all that fun stuff.

The DEF stuff is simple by comparison.

My point is being missed here.

Gasoline requires 4 things to run.

            Air, fuel, compression, spark

That whole spark thing isn't required on a diesel, and neither are the parts associated with it. If your getting fuel, a diesel will run.

There are less components to a diesel engine. Unlike the earlier claim that there are more parts to replace.

Also a real catalytic converter for any car is expensive, and the cheap alternatives will only last a few years. Maintenance (egr) should be considered no matter what your driving.

I have a problem with someone using conspiracy theories coupled with a false information, then personal attacks to defend their position. (Not referring to you, Rat.)

^ Agreed. I have had to be careful not to look too closely. I would love an ST.

Drove A focus ST today when my dad went to go look at Escapes for my sister. I need one, but I am still trying to hold out for a diesel. Engine and transmission was great, seats felt really good, but not as good as e30 sports, I fit into those better.

Mini, don't fall into that VW trend.
