I am no seamstress. My mtech 2 horror story

    I'm pretty mechanically inclined.
I bought a nice mtech 2 steering wheel recovering kit for my wheel as the factory leather was dead.

Now I followed the instructions and sewwed to the best of my ability.

I accept, I simply am no good at this whole attention to detail and precsissness.

I decided to still complete the project just to say I finished it.

I'm not sure if I can reuse the leather or not, but I'll be sending to someone to have it done properly.

Enjoy the fruits of my furious labour.
    Started off decent

    Until...

I think it's good to show not only our successes, but also our attempts at something we didn't quite succeed in.

I like the humility...I've had plenty of things not turn out the way I like....upholstery is something I know I couldn't perform well. Kudos for trying, and this for consolation, lol:

Not sure if you used a stitch hook but if you didn't, you can clean that up using one. Using the hook on the lose threads and pulling will tighten the seam as you pull the threads.

                        gotta laugh at ourselves sometimes
the wheel looks somebody that's lost a lot of weight and their skin is still way too loose
