    Favorite Radio Stations..?

Im a c89.5 die hard, and today was the start of pledge drive for the station's Volume 17 CD release. C89.5 is the Nation's best EDM dance station in the USA, ran out of Nathan Hale High School in Seattle, WA. I give them $20 a month and get the CD's. They rock, by the way ;)

My favorite radio show though is Hed Kandi Radio, broadcasting out of London with host Zoe Hardman. Available to listen online. This show is loaded with bangers representing some of the best in house music - what you would hear on this is often better than going out (in my opinion).

I love supporting local music, anybody else on the East Coast etc. have a favorite radio station? What makes it special?

I like weird obscure French African stations broadcasting out of Mali or someplace through iTunes radio.

Or KCMU Seattle (EDIT - this is KEXP now, isn't it?)

Or KBGA college radio Missoula MT…. http://kbga.org/wp/

If there is one station you should listen to if your into EDM and not just cheesy confetti house music. Its RINSE.fm

They have an app, actual radio station, and website/soundcloud.

Also KISS fm and BBC RADIO 1.

I only listen to "the radio" on TuneIn. Depending on my mood and/or where I am I usually listen to:

              Music Machine 2
              Radio Free Cruze
              Soma FM: Underground 80s
Indie 103.1 (an actual radio station in Santa Monica)

I've been DJing a bi-weekly radio show on www.myhouseyourhouse.net for 5+ years now, I listen to that a lot, and www.d3ep.com who I have also done guest mixes for. I'll listen to Underground '80s on soma.fm sometimes at work, or the local public jazz station. I rarely listen to broadcast radio, I took the antenna completely out of my E30.

Can you please elaborate? As an old school house head that hates everything about EDM, I suspect this is referring to my type of shit. lol

                            I'm all about college radio.

88.1 WMBR Cambridge, MA. MIT station; can be hit or miss sometimes, but some good punk, electronic, and just indie music in general to be had.

90.3 WZBC Newton, MA. Boston College, same as above.

91.7 WXCI Danbury, CT. Western Connecticut State University. Was good when I lived in the area, but it's been a while since I tuned in.

When I was trucking late nights I used to listen to George Noory Coast to Coast on AM radio. Kind of a weird show about unexplained/odd things in the world/universe.

                            Other than that it's NPR.

SO many stations to check out

c89.5 plays the cheesy EDM electronica during the day but please listen to The Vortex before you start to hate on it!

I like Ministry of Sound Radio at home and Rinse.FM is great too. I used to like the dubstep sound but Im a house junkie now - and dont see that changing soon. I want to check out your work Vincent!
