Who put out those videos? I guess they're appealing to the people who choose which car to drive by what match their clothes and take corners like girls. Also yachts.

Well, I'll give the maker of this video some points for marketing accuracy. The vast majority of the owners buy them for status, not performance - the driver in this video comfirms it. This particular driver is wearing his tailored sports jacket, there isn't a single strand of his Bosely transplanted hair-do out of place, probably has some Viagra in the glovebox, and he drives a 500bhp convertible like his bitchy menopause-suffering wife is in the passenger seat.

At least we can take comfort in knowing that when this car is eventually sold for half the amount this guy paid for it, it will have had an easy, low-stressed history and it will be ready for some serious flogging :-D

well yeah. it's just one of those videos that precede the real commercials.
            e.g the 335i video

Yet...it could have used an edge to it , like a fade out where u see him chaning into "sportier clothing" and pushin the car in some corners. I mean it is an M CAR

Yes I agree with you...the M6 will be to most a status issue ESPECIALLY the convertable version.

I dunno, imo the 6series is very ugly...having the v10 doesn't even make up for how fugly that rear end is.

              Oh well, cool car nonetheless.

i think the m6 hardtop is a sexy bitch

but i agree these cars will mostly be bought by douche bags that own them simply to say that they own them.. but i guess that is bmw's primary demographic. Younger middle class people like the average e30 owner are nonexistant in the eyes of the execs who decided this is the commercial to let out to the public. ....looks more like an infomercial than a display of the power of bmw motorsport

I just really wanted that video to have a plot twist halfway through. As the guy goes through his 4th turn the tires should just errupt into smoke as he mashes the throttle and whips out the tail. The rest of the ad should consist of audible agressive downshifting and hucking the car around like Tiff Needler.

I like how they make the ad's quiet so you can hear the car at work, then they keep the engine under 3k rpms the whole time. Everybody knows BMW engines don't start screaming till 5k+!

The 6 series is sexy as hell, the vert is ugly as hell. As to the 150mph thing, well that is only a phone call away. Active is working on something for it! But a V10 that redlines around 8500 is kick ass!

As for price, they will go for top dollar at first, but they will hold their value for many moons!
