    My idiot dog....

I love this dog, I say idiot purely out of frustration. In reality I'm the idiot, so spare me the bullshit.

Missed my alarm for work this morning by an hour and a half. Had Buffalo wings last night, and grabbed the bag of bones this morning to throw in the trash on my way out the door. Well, it was dark, and I don't leave lights on, so I didn't see the bag on the coffee table as I was leaving and completely forgot about it.

10 minutes down the road I realize what I did, and haul ass back to the house. As soon as I walk through the door he has that "You aren't going to be happy" look on his face. Sure enough, the little shit ate every single bone.

I feed my dog raw meat all the time. Deer, beef, chicken, whatever. I know he can digest uncooked bones and I also know he can't digest cooked bones.

I read that since he didn't lodge any in his throat, he is probably OK. I'm just worried about my bud, looking for anyone who has been in a similar situation to hopefully give some reassurance.

It's going to be a long day at work.

He's 5 now, don't have up to date photos on my photobucket account, but we met him a week before this photo.

(Parents have the cat now, she isn't very tolerant of kids so my Mom adopted her when our first kid came around.)

IIRC cooked chicken bones splinter and can damage the stomach and GI walls. Given that they were wing bones, you may be okay. Chicken legs would have me on my way to the vet, just to be safe.

Just keep an eye on him. He'll prolly be ok. My dogs have gotten into chicken wing bones and nothing happened.

I give my dog the bones from my big Tbone steaks all the time. He should be good. Make sure he's shitting. My cousins dog ate a chicken bone and it got stuck in his intestines that was spensive$$ and near deathly. Ifs hes already flung the poo he should be good.

he looks like my little shit

Well I'm back home now, and he is still his usual lunatic self. Went outside with him and he watched me oddly as I inspected his waste.

Looking good, I was nervous as hell when I opened the door. He usually is already there to greet me, but took him a few seconds today.

My coworker left chicken wings out and it ended up perforating his dog's bowels (albeit a smaller dog). He had to be put down. I'm super paranoid about leaving anything out with bones now with my own. Keep an eye on him!

I'm pretty sure we're in the clear now, yea I was reading it's more of a issue with the small dogs. This guys turds are so big it completely encases any bones that may have made it through.

Looks like he was able to digest them though, and he's still my retarded best friend.

I have an 80lb English Black Lab named Maggie, and she's eaten some weird shit: 1KG of chocolate covered almonds, a large box of chocolate liqueurs which noticeably intoxicated her, a full pie with pie plate, and much more.

One time, I cooked some sort of deer steak with a 1.5" diameter slice of bone in it, so I figured she'd love to chew the marrow out of it, and not eat it because of its size... Well she just swallowed it whole. Eventually we decided to feed her the canned Walmart brand "Ol' Roy" wet dog food to try to flush it out by force. I don't know how they can sell that as food, but it works extremely well as a laxative, and she passed it a day later.
