First I've ever heard of this idea. I was usually just lucky if a car could've been resold after I was done with it when I was younger. (Most ended up as toasters.)
It's considered a lottery. Unless it's to benefit a non-profit organization, it's illegal. (Although you might want to check state laws.)
I did try to comment and let the guy know that his idea was likely illegal, as I understand this thought goes through everybody's head at some point in their young lives.
But alas, I got an error when I tried to open comments. I just assumed people told him already and he deleted it.
...What gets me is questions like this which could be easily solved by A) Google search, then B) looking under your damn car. It's like kids today are too lazy to spend 5 minutes with jack stands and a flashlight.
Kinda amazes me we were all able to mod our cars before the days of the internet, when all you had a sh*tty Chilton and maybe the advice of some local drunk old timer.
