lol at all of the Chrysler hate. Yes, Chrysler is shit, but it wasn't always shit, anyone who says that is clueless or lying. I had one of the few decent things Chrysler made post 1975, a 1981 D150 pickup. 318 V8 with 2 barrel carb, 727 torqueflite, the thing was rusted to shit but it was unkillable and really fun to slide around dirt roads and do donuts in. The worst vehicle I ever owned was a 2000 Ford Explorer "Sport" at least it was a 5 speed and never left me stranded.

IMO, I'm suprised the Chrysler badge still exists. The only badges that I feel have a home in the market are the Ram and Jeep. The medium duty trucks are tougher than most. The testing done is brutal and competitor vehicles didn't stand a chance (ford always did well admittedly). Toyotas tailgates and other components snap off during the off-road tests.

Other supporting evidence: my dad puts 50k miles or more per year on his trucks. He's had variety of issues on both Ford and Ram, but the Ram is the top pick for durability in his application: towing, occasional plowing, and general daily beatings.

IDK I feel like anything Chrysler post 80s was pretty trash, some had good features, but overall they were trash.

Currently Fiat thinks they can just make a Hellcat version of every car to save the company lolll.

My wife's 2000 MKIV Jetta. The interior has held up ok. But it busts light bulbs all the damn time. It consumes a quart of oil every 1K from the 2.slow. It has a manual, so no transmission issues. Had a bad head gasket at 110K that I replaced. 60K timing belt interval (stupid). Water pumps with plastic impellers. It eats front tires.

In general, its a POS. Though, it has about 190K on it and still goes.

I've bitched about this car in other threads, but you get to hear it again: I can't say worst car because it has given me zero mechanical problems, but the cheapest car is the new Jetta. Fucking thing is all plastic and barely holds together for being less than 3 years old. Diesel fuel economy is tits, though.

This is my first and last VW. Going back to a newer BMW (hopefully) when this lease is up.

I changed a CLUTCH on one of those early Dodge mini vans. Fun days. The worst was probably a Renualt LeCar (well it was really my friend's car but we got stuck in it more than once). I had a 68 Beetle that was great but the 70 that I owned at a later point had the dreaded 2 speed auto trans. What a dog.

I told the Ford people I'd never buy another Ford after my 1976 Ford Capri, and I was going to post a long diatribe about Ford and how they screwed over a young man that didn't know better. But I'm tired of that so suffice to say that the worst car I ever owned was a Ford. And I've owned Fiats and Audis better and more reliable than that F-ing Ford. Ford. FU, Ford.

I'm old, but my memory is still good and I can hold a grudge.

when it ran it was a great highway car back in texas in the early 80's
had it less then a year never will own a ford any more.
