E30Tech dead?

Hi All

Just curious if E30Tech is officially dead, or is it just me? Tried registering 4 to 5 years ago, but no response. Tried to visit the forum a few times over the last month, but I just get a Database Error message.

So, is it gone, all that info? Would be shame if its all lost.

Well that site hasnt had much or any traffic for years. I had one of those mythical accounts you speak of.

yeah, it's been weeks. Chris is as MIA as ever, and none of us mods have the keys to recover whatever's wrong (which is a shame, since fixing shit like that is what i do for a living...)

it's probably not coming back; use wayback machine to search for whatever old content you need.

There's lots of good info there, a lot of stuff i posted but don't remember any longer unfortunately. Its too bad, but its not surprising really. There's only been a handful of active users left for a long time.

Surprisingly there were some people who were on e30 tech but not r3v or other forums. My m tech vert was advertised on e30 tech.

The first time I ordered a rack spacer kit from e30tech Chris actually called me (I don't recall the exact reason) but we spoke for awhile about the site. I mentioned I hadn't been activated and he said he stopped activating webmail addresses due to spam issues and to email him with the address I registered and he'd activate it.

Never happened, so traffic evidentally went down by attrition. I'd say it just died on the vine, but there was def a wealth of info there.

Guess that makes sense. I waned to make so many purchases via that site over the years, only to find I couldn't contact the sellers as I was unable to get registered... Looks like Chris killed his own forum off by not registering anyone.. shame really, there was some great FI info there.

Thanks IceWhite. Didn't know there was already a thread going elsewhere. I usually search Google to see if any info comes up, didn't get any hits. Started to think not being able to get access E30Tech had something to do with my IP etc.
