I really like the way the new car looks and I have only read awesome things about it. I've driven a handful of miata's over the years and have loved them all, I don't suspect you will be upset if you buy an ND.

        That new targa though

I really don't like that the entire back section tips up for the targa top. I'd rather have a targa I manually remove and stow away.

We'll see, I'm going to test drive the one I pic'd up top. Only debt I have is le house....so why not?

I really love the new MX5's, if I didn't already have 2 other cars I barely drive I would love to pick one up.

the only counter-argument i can think of to a nicely-optioned NC is that... well, boxsters are getting cheap...

                    Do it though.

One of my favorite driving experiences is in the Miata, on a hot/warm night driving home after dark. If that makes me gay, then whip that shit out.

Do it. I really like Mazda's new line up. Currently looking at a current gen Mazda 3 as a replacement for my mom's dying Audi, and I would seriously consider an ND Miata as a future purchase.

Doesn't count, my tires wear evenly.

I like these a lot better. Cooler looking, better proportions, no pinched / creased fenders and headlights. And in a couple of years when the warranty is over, drop in that 1750 Abarth turbo and you'll have a little rocket.

They look best in black IMO.

(Full Disclosure - I had two original 124 Spiders)

They do need to be lower and have some more wheel and tire tho. Maybe that windshield frame body color.

^ don't care for pics, but they look good in person. Way better than the new Miata. If the new Miata weren't such a fug, I'd be inclined to buy one.
