XM or Sirius?

i got sirius for howard stern.

XM has better reception and more channels
sirius is really choppy sometimes which is annoying in the car.

Sirius has DJ's.
XM is ClearChannel...pre programmed music channels.

Sirius has better reception here in the PNW.
XM has better sound quality.

Most long haul truck drivers have XM.

I have and like Sirius. I would have gotten XM for the MLB Baseball had I realised they had it. Sirius has NHL & NFL.

Sirius works at least 900 miles south of Laredo, TX. into Mexico.

I have heard XM has better sound, Sirius sounds fine to my critical ear.

I began subscribing to Sirius when it was the only commercial-free choice. It isn't perfect, but I have no regrets.

I got sirius for stern, too. Lots of good music channels, plus I can listen to stern 24 hours a day.

Another question though: How is the radio integration abilty with XM? I know Sirius can run right through your headunit if you have the right model but I wasn't able to find out if XM would do that too? Their website kept trying to sell me a seperate screen that would mount to my dash, and between the G-Tech and the radar detector I have too much crap on my dash as it is...

I had a module that ran through my Kenwood HU. I liked the ability to store song data for future downloading, in my Wife's external unit (not possible on the internal units) so when I sold the cab I got an external unit that I also have a cradle for the house so it is like having two units.

I'd get XM to avoid Howard he is the personification of the asshole New York Jew that gives us a bad name. (I am a New York Jew before anyone gets their panties in a bunch)

I am (at least in part) a New York Jew as well which probably explains why I've never been a huge fan of howard's show. XM does have internal units though? I'd just prefer to keep my interior as clean as possible.

No one (TMK) makes a deck with sattelite built in anymore.

It is an outboard box.

Most companies have your choice of XM or Sirius.

I figured I'd have to buy a seperate tuner but I want one that's hidden and runs through the (soon to be) already existing headunit, although that Alpine deck seems pretty cool.

For Sirius the modules run 99.00 but I got mine for 50.00, I may have one so if you get a Kenwood and decide on Sirius I'll practically give it to you.

The cool thing about this Alpine is all you need is an antenna.
