Hyundai Veloster turbo.

I haven't driven any Veloster's, but Hyundai is leaps and bounds better than what most people think of. The warranty is amazing, and their build quality is far better than it used to be.

I have three newer Santa Fe's in my immediate family. The AWD ones. Safe to say they really like them.

I was looking at the VT and FiST. I bought a very lightly used, 3k odo FiST from Carmax and the CMax waranty.

My main reason for the decision was cargo space. I have the rear seats deleted and have LOADS of room now in the FiST. The Veloster just can't compete in that aspect.

For reference, it will hold 4 race wheels with out the rear seats :)

Hyundai has been making quality stuff for a while now, it's too bad most of it so fugly (imo).

For what it's worth, I was super happy with my genesis coupe while I had it. Hyundai's build quality is really great, especially in the interior. I had 0 problems with that car while I had it (0-75k miles). It had the same engine, minus the turbo.

I'm sure my opinion wont matter but am I the only one that thinks the Veloster is not pretty... like at all? I get that most people just care about daily driving it but Id want a car that looks cool too. Isnt The warranty that everyone is talking about (100k) in non transferable to the second owner? Correct me if I'm wrong

On top of that, the 100k warranty is a powertrian only and by definition, that's all of your internally lubricated parts (anything touched by oil). The likelihood of you actually using that in a warranty claim is EXTREMELY small. Which is why most manufactures give you a higher powertrain. I agree with everyone that Hyundai is making cars leaps and bounds better than they used to be comparing the two, my opinion is best bang for buck goes to the FiST.

This is where Carmax comes in. You can purchase a warranty from them when you purchase a car that is bumper to bumper coverage. Lookup the Doug Demuro Jalopnik posts regarding this topic to see how good the coverage is.

Also the uses VT's are going for anywhere between 16-18 for loaded models with low mileage. They appear to be a lot of car for the money.

Fiesta ST would be my choice, or the Focus ST. The new Ford's are really nice. My parents just bought a new Explorer and it is way nice.

You know I love the FIST. You're going to probably love the way it drives compared to the VT.

This. At the end of your tenure with it, the value of it will be considerably lower than another similar car.
