We need all the old DIY thread pics to show up or there is much learning lost! This is why I've never hosted pics anywhere, I just upload them directly to the forum and I hope that means they're permanent (?)

I'm finding a lot of DIY thread pics missing. Usually it was because they were ancient and not kept up by the poster. Now it's this photo bucket thing. E30tech is back up, but a lot of their pics are gone too.

Curious - why are people using photobucket in the first place, vs a Flickr or whatever? Who controls your photos?

    Something strange here.

I have Chrome installed on desktop, but don't use it. Tested the above extension, open FireFox on said desktop and they are fixed on that as well? WTF?!?!?

Any tips or tricks to get this to work? Im going to try a different browser.
Use the app, download to your phone and transfer over to your desktop.

I'm not doubting it works, hopefully it'll open up a lot of the killed threads for chrome users.

Clear your cache or to a hard refresh (shift F5)

    Cross-posting this here.
If the browser extension works for you, and you're interested in helping to back up some crucial threads, check it out.

I've saved as many of the links in my bookmarks folder that I could. I've saved just over 100 pages so far.

Saw this a few days ago when I went to look at my build thread.
Thank god I backed up all my build thread pictures from photobucket last year.

Too bad that backup is in another country right now! At least I still have the pictures and will restore them when I can.

Meanwhile, this extension is working for me currently (2017/07/28)
