My status from this morning. Christmas really makes you lose respect for some people.

I don't know - I feel like posting stuff like this has an equally negative and dividing impact. Gloating about immaterial posessions is pretty much the same as gloating about material ones in my book. If your concern is for the well being and happiness of others it doesn't seem like judgement should be the response. Obviously you're really proud of the statement otherwise you wouldn't have posted it here - but if promoting modesty and humility was your intent I think you missed the target.

Why are you guys seeing his status in a negative light?

Could it be he is trying to convey that not all young people in our generation are shallow materialistic asshats and he does not want people to think of him in that light?

Or maybe he is really happy that he is able to spend a Christmas with his father and wanted to share that he found the true meaning of this holiday?

Stop being pessimistic on things and see things more positively. Help the world grow to be a better place.
