PS3, who's getting one?

I love electronic toys! I blew up my first X360 in the first week
trying to water cool it. Second one works great after cooling.

Word has been circulating that Ebay won't let people list these things during that timeframe. People are pissed at ebay for letting the price get that high for xbox 360. I don't see how ebay has the right to put restrictions on selling a product online unless it is obviously violating the guidelines. I think that ebay will be cracking down and cancelling the auctions on ebay bc of the..... morality of it.

Just be careful. Does anybody have any other avenues to get alot of exposure?

When the Xbox 630 came out, there were these 2 guys standing out on the corner of the shopping center where Best Buy is, selling them. They had like 10 each, and we stopped and asked one of them how much they were selling them for, and one of the guys said he hadn't sold one for under $800 yet.

To be honest, I just think the whole thing is stupid. These psycho gamer kids (and adults) are a mystery to me. Like I said before, I buy a new system usually about year after it comes out, after they've worked out all the bugs and the price drops. It's the same with the PSP. I'm planning to get one, but I'm waiting until they drop the price, which they will before Christmas.

Holy shit. How the hell did they get their hands on so many? I think that PS3 is 1 per customer now... which means running around all day claiming it from your pre-orders from all over the fuckin place....I went to sams club and costco (which I think are untapped resources IMHO) and they said 1 per customer. kinda sux.

Lots of friends who work at Costco. There was almost a riot at Costco here when it came out, because they let their employees have first crack at them before the store opened, and they almost completely sold out to the employees.

I doubt that eBay will stop people from listing high $$ items. That's how they make their money. Xbox 360s got that high because people were willing to pay that much to get their hands on one. Early birds FTMFW!

There is nothing immoral about buying a high demand product that is in low quantity and reselling it for a profit. That's the simple rule of supply and demand which is the mother of capitalism.

How much are they going to be? Is there any legit estimate on what they'll go for being flipped? If I buy one to flip it, I'm going to do it solely to make a profit, I don't want to end up having to keep it.

UM... If you cant flip it for a profit (starting bid at what you paid + $100), just return it to the store? Dont understand why you would be stuck keeping it. Just don't open it.
