Inspired by Beer thread... how do you cure hangovers?

I find it's easier to prevent hangovers than to cure them, and the key is lots of water prior to turning in. Lots of water in the morning has rarely helped me, except for the unsettling feeling of having a whole bunch of nonalcoholic liquid sloshing around in your stomach.

I don't do any painkillers after drinking. Bad. Especially 800mg of Advil, are you kidding me? Ibuprofen causes stomach bleeding when combined with alcohol, and if you've had a shitton of alcohol, you can bet that it's still in your system.

alcohol is only processed at roughly 40ml per hour, so ibroprohen etc are just going to rip your stomach up - bleeding for the win.

I didn't bother to read the thread, so someone probably said it already but: drink loads of water before you go to sleep.
Throwing up helps too :P

I've seriously come home stumbling drunk and ready to pass out, but I force myself to stayup and chug like a 1/2 gallon of water.

I've had 1 hangover in my life (For those that are going to say its because I haven't really drank, you've never drank with me and my friends)
The only reason I had the hangover is because I didn't drink water before going to sleep.

Same here. I've even smoked chronic and drank at the same time. No throwing up or hangovers. I guess we're lucky.

the only thing is drink water before you shut er down, i find an advil liquid gel in the moron works miracles if you've forgotten the water. but 99% of the time, water alone the night before works, i usually drink 2 bottles and pass out, unless you've been drinking all day your fine. drinking all day requires water during the day. rule of thumb, for every 10 real real beers i drink one bottle of water.

For the people that don't get hangovers: Do you ever get really drunk, and then wake up like 4 hours later to go to work? That is when I really feel like shit.

Alcohol is an antagonist to your antidiuretic hormone, you lose lots of H20 as well as what ever your kidney should be keeping in.

Dont take any Advil or Tylenol the same night of the sdrinking because it really isbnt good for your liver. LOTS of water and a drink. But keep it at 1. A Beer, or a drink. Itll make it much better. Im a pro at drinking and this is what has worked for me.

There is no better feeling in the world than stuffing chicken fingers, a steak omelette, toast, three glasses of OJ, your buddy's last two pancakes, and hashbrowns down your throat when you can barely see and are covered with the aroma of drunkiness.

curing is not the answer...prevention is

after drinking all you wish to drink, start drinking water, cranberry juice or gatorade...before bed pop 2 ibuprofin and drink a glass of one of the afformentioned liquids and sleep tight

Yes, just last week.

I got home from a party around 3 o'clockish and could barely walk to my room.
I had to wake up at 7:00 to go to work to replace a headgasket on an e34.

No hangover, just fucking tired.

hangovers are mostly just dehydration. like its been said, drink water (or gatorade or something) while you're drinking alchohol and you will never wake up with a hangover. and if you do for some reason wake up with a hangover, as it has already been stated a bong rip will cure it.
