    One word....Wow

My bestfriends dad is really into guns too. I am more into cars but he has about the same setup as you. He really likes the Arnold Swartzanagger (sp?) and built a gun to look just like the automatic shotgun in I think number Terminator 2. With pistol grip w/ fold out stock. shells on the side and other little goodies.

    He has an AR15 hmm..w/goodies

He has a .45 glock with some goodies on it and a number of old fashion guns/muskets.

Oh yea...Will you be my friend? haha I should have been more clear about the shotguns.

Awesome setup. I want to get into it more but would rather spend the $500 on my car. My bro just got his carry/conceal permit so he is shooting a lot trying to find the gun he wants to get.

Also in these 3 guns I have more tied up in them than most of the cars here!

edited for better pic with flash!
Very nice indeed. For a good while there, I was doing two meets a month myself that is until my eye surgery. Haven't shot competitively since, but hope to return eventually.

Night shoots are the bomb too, and it looks like you're set up for just that. Do you guys do them?

He said he liked the H&K much better. Superiority aside it is a matter of personal preference. I personally hate the glock trigger, I hate the grip position. I have never been comfortable with a glock in my hand. Glocks bore me, everyone has a glock. It's like the honda of firearms. I give them credit for reliability but my SIG has never misfired or jammed with thousands of rounds through it.

I feel much more prepared to go against bad guys with my SIG at my side.

If he says he likes the H&K better, why encourage him to buy a glock?

As far as stripping goes, IMO my SIG p239 is much easier to take down than a Glock.

Well just show me someone that shoots speed, using the sig or the HK other than factory reps? Its not built for speed. And speed is what saves lives.

Im not saying that the HK and the Sig are not good guns, they are and built very well but the down fall is weight and design. Its the guys first gun, not someone that collects them. You want something that runs no matter what. Look at the link I posted about the HK in the torture test. They have problems when they get dirty. Glocks still run with all sorts of crap. Kind of like AKs and ARs. I prefer the AR but if they get dirty they fail to fire, where the AK runs no matter what. With training with the glock you can shoot pretty dead on, ITs not built to be a tack driver, its built to be accurate and run no matter what. So for a back up piece and something that will work in the worst of times the Glock shines!

If you were a bit closer I would out shoot you with my Glock 19 over any pistol you could bring to the table. Training is key and shooting often is what it takes to master anything.

These are my Kimber tack drivers to show you that I am not Glock only loyal! These you can stack one shot on top of the other. But again in life saving situations I prefer speed and round count over something like this!

OK. That's cool. I realistically have 300-400 rounds through my buddies Glock, and the weird thing is that anytime I pull more than 50-75 round through his I get a sharp pain 2/3 of the way from the bottom joint in the thumb to the wrist. So I think I gave Glock a fair try.
I used to finish snowboards for a living and it required laying most of my weight on the wrist, so I have some damage from that. But like I was saying, I shot his Glock 6-8 times and everytime at least a box or more, and everytime I get that weird pain.
Never, ever had that happen with my fullsize or Commander. In honesty though I only have under 2000 through the Commander, but so far never an issue. I would chalk that up to the recoil, wouldn't you?
It's possible the grip has a different shape that forces more pressure in different places on my palm now that I think about it, but who knows?

Anyhow, I made it clear that it was just my opinion. Like we all keep saying, just shoot a bunch and decide what you like based on that.

Vdubin - do I see slugs in those shells? Never fired 'em - how do they feel vs. shot - any different?

Yeah, the 3" slugs kick like a motherfucker! That gun is not fun to shoot but again speed is key. The actions in the Kimbers are so much smoother than most other guns. They are a dream to shoot. Fitment is also key and different people have different size hands so some work better than others. My deal is speed and placement is more key than the size of the round. The glock gives that to me. Again look at the fastest guns out today, and you will see glock at the top.

I believe you about Glocks, and if they didn't hurt my thumb-bone, I'd probably own one. I don't doubt they are reliable.

I envy your Kimbers there. Nice.

What's involved in getting CCW permit, is it different state-to-state or is it a national thing?

State to State. WA all you have to do is a background check and get a Sheriff's office signoff on it.

I hear New York and Cali dang near take an act of Congress.
