Foolishly I said, "Sure, no problem" only to later find out that I could have SOLD all of what they took for about $250,000. There is a high demand for body parts and if you CHOOSE to donate, thats one thing but they often turn around and SELL your donated organs for a hefty price and make a HUGE profit from them.
This is the most fucked up shit I've ever read. You have no idea what the fuck you're talking about and you should shut the fuck up. There are tons of great NON-PROFIT organ donation organizations. One of which is One-Legacy. They're a great organization with only the best intentions. They give the gift of life, and do their best to provide support to families on both sides of the donation.

Organ donation and Tissue Donation are 2 seperate things. Tissue donations CAN be sold off to various places. Where as organ's are not bought or sold.

    You're a fucking douche.

So am I suggesting that everyone sit on the sofa and knit sweaters? Not at all. But you have to come to grips with the fact that people are going to die. Sometimes when we least expect it or when we least want it to, people are going to die. Dying is somewhat the side effect of living. Its something that we have to live with and accept.

I've never heard of those guys. I wish they would have been the first ones to call us.

thanks scotty for your um concern. Anyway he wasnt wearing a helment and i think he may have been freebording down a pretty decent hill. they dont really know what happened. someone just found him on the side of the road unconcious. And yes they are donating his organs, not selling. Because where yes it is capitalistic, its still kinda hard when youre son dies. Im sure the last thing that his parents are thinking about is "hmm i bet we can get 50k a piece for his eyes." honestly scotty, i appreciate your alternative perspectives on things sometimes. But i seriously wonder if you have ever lost anyone close to you.

That's insane man, sorry to hear about your loss. People getting hurt like this makes me reconsider what I do when I skate. I have permanately messed up my shoulders from a few skating accidents, and my friend broke his hand last week and has to wear a cast for 7 weeks. It sucks that you can get so hurt doing something so fun!

yea its a bit rough. i quit skateboarding after i had my first knee surgery. i figured that keeping on would just make things worse. In one way, im glad he was doing what he loved when he was injured, but on the other hand, what a terrible way to go.
