With America as the "leader" of the world, as patriots seem to think, we set a very bad example. We consume most of the world's resources, create the most garbage, we create the most pollution, and we seem to think that we can do whatever the fuck we want. I mean, quite a few other countries thought it was a bad idea to "liberate" Iraq, but we did it anyway. Why? That all we had to do was plant the seed of Democracy in the middle east and just watch it grow? That's why we went to war in Vietnam because we thought that communism was going to spread if we didn't intervene. Well, our intervention failed, and so did communism continue to spread? Nope. So why did we think it would work with democracy?

If America wants to be a leader of the free world, we should set the example and put our economy and our minds to work in alternative energy. Stuff like that is the future, not our democrate ideals.
