What to do with my posche

right now i am confused on what to do with my 911, i figured i would post up over here because it is cosmetic stuff i am looking into.

Current problems:
-horribly oxidized paint
-little dents all over the place
-sunroof leaks
-rims are faded







plans to fix
-new paint, complete strip and repaint, color?
-body work
-new seal
-refinished rims


now the questions i am asking
-What color to paint? before this paint it was red
-should i get a passenger side mirror? - since its a 77 i legally do not need one
-keep the rims chrome with black centers?
-whale tail or duck tail?

other suggestions?

repaint it something like Mauritius Blue from the e36's, and then throw some BBS RS's on it.

I like the blue suggestion, or a nice red.

No passenger mirror.

Are they staggered Fuchs wheels? I'd get something else...

yea there the OEM fuchs, im buying a mid's targa if the offset is the same im going to put those on (same wheels just in better condition and recently refinished) this since this engine is getting a do-over 3.8l stroker with straight pipes

one problem i have that you dont, you own an e30, i want one

go back to red for paint, no need for a passenger mirror unless you want one, and shine up those rims.

I'd go with red or a dark green metallic. And leave the pass. mirror off. As for the tail, i don't know. And i'd keep the rim chrome with black centers.

Back to red with you. Keep the classic Fuchs. Duck tail. Passenger side mirror - I like them for symmetry, no one else seems to. Sleeper city with that 3.8...if you can call any 911 a sleeper.

Don't do a wing with a narrow body! It just ruins the lines.

15x7 Fuchs all around with "RSR" finish.

If your going to strip and paint it, "back date" the F/R bumpers and get rid of those ugly accordians.

Colorwise... It's a car from the 70's, go with one of the unique funky colors Porsche was offering at the time. My vote - Signal Orange or Olive.

DUck tail on early style bodies. bumpers as suggested previously. Black center polished lip Fuchs. I hear those are getting desireable.

This was my 912E (R.I.P.) But I had put a carrera tail on it when I did a full respray. Keep the wheels the same, just freshen them up a bit.
And if when they did the colour change, did they shoot paint under the bonnet and every where else? If not change it back to guards red or the factory red for 77.
