So my colt broke over the weekend, what a fucking bummer.
Its a 8 month old 1911 .45 rail gun. The spring plunger tube that hold the rear slide lock saftey fell off. It is held onto the body with 2 pins and they were both broken.
Noticed it after about 450 rounds went through it at the range.
Colt says its under warranty but may take anywhere from 30-45 days to get back to me.
The pistol only has about 2800 rounds through it.
NOT MY GUN
but it can bee seen here directly above the grip.

^^ me and my dad are in a competition right now to see who can drop the most squirrels. We both use air rifles. I think collectively we're up to 200+ squirrels since two years ago.<---Goodnight, sweet prince

Speaking of old bolt 22s, I jut fixed the trigger on my father's old Winchester 75. Easily one of the most accurate 22s I have ever shot. With the peep sights I can make one big hole in anything I pick with 5 shots out to 100 yards.Originally posted by george gravesIf people keep quoting me in their sig, I'm going to burn this motherfucker down.

Cool cool. Seems like .22s are pretty solid, no matter the manufacturer... I think I've decided on the Savage MkII BV when I sell the Ruger.

seems like a good choice just need decent glass for it and you will be set
I went out and found bricks of 22 today bought 1100 rounds for 40 bucks. I remember when you could get 1000 22lr for 14 bucksOriginally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

Yeah, the BV seems to get very good reviews... Same specs essentially as the TR, same accuracy, just doesn't have the tactical stock or bolt knob... Shoots just as well though since it's got a bull barrel. I'm pretty stoked to have picked something, just gotta get rid of my Ruger...
As for glass, I'll be putting my Bushnell back on the ruger for sale, and taking the glass I have now and putting it on the Savage prolly... It's Brunton glass, NRA spec or some shit.
NRA Sport Optics: Brunton FV3940 3-9x40mm. Dunno what any of that means, but it's been on the ruger for a little while and I don't really have any complaints. A few people told me that Brunton glass was crap, but it seems ok.

i recently fired my friend's walther p22. I'd really like to get a .22 auto pistol. I liked the walther a lot, but the magazine only holds ten rounds and that seems very foolish to me. It should hold 15-20. But this wouldn't prevent me from owning the gun (unless there's something better out there).
So what is everyone's favorite semi-auto .22 pistol?

its pretty accurate:
this is at 25yds, 10rds fired
this is at the same distance, 10 full magazines fired (100rds), with a pretty good breeze, and the target was blowing around a little.

Just cleaned the Glock 17 for the first time after 1000 rounds. Feels super slick again and I can't stop fondling it. No misfires, and I'm glad I went with a 9mm setup. Been great so far!
I keep looking at the Beretta 92FS. Is it wrong to want a 2nd 9mm handgun?
The Glock is the only one I have so far, and I was thinking of a shotgun/rifle purchase before making another handgun purchase.
