In all fairness you'd best grow some thicker skin. This is r3v after all. Tho I'd hardly call a friendly joust a personal attack.

Your arrogance is off putting as my "immaturity." I've grown up around guns, as has my father and his before him. We've always been active in the NRA, gun competitions, clubs, etc. My experience is far from limited in firearms. But thanks for the concern.

There is truth in some of your words. A well maintained firearm will generally preform as expected and treat its owner better than a neglected one. And as you said, "decent" ammo is part of performing 100%. I won't argue those two points, but I will not agree with the fact that you claim to have 100% on every grade of ammunition. Nor that you've never had a single malfunction.

I believe it's possible to run at 100%, but like you've stated, there are key factors in doing so. Well maintained gun, ammunition, etc. I do not believe anything created by man is fool proof. And I do believe that every gun will encounter an error at some point in its existence.

You believe in what you want and I'll do the same. I'm done arguing with you

My skin is thick enough, in fact, my friends call me "The Duck". My point was you pointing out to leave my comments "at the door", while you made childish comments.

I will quantify that...I dont run crap anmmo in my guns, but my Glock eats every load/size/configuration round of DECENT ammo I put through it...100%.

Nor that you've never had a single malfunction.
Like I said, I have a few guns that are 100%. Im sorry you lack the experience to grasp that.

And I do believe that every gun will encounter an error at some point in its existence.
Then you are ignorant. Changing worn firing pins, recoil spring, mags, mag springs, followers, hammer/striker springs, extracors, extractor springs, connectors, etc. BEFORE they fail, can keep a gun running 100%. Im sorry you lack the experience to grasp that.

You believe in what you want and I'll do the same.
Its not about a "belief", its about fact. Im sorry you lack the experience to grasp that.

      Take care.

Jesus fuck give it a rest. Pot meet kettle. You have been nothing but argumentative since you started posting in this thread. You may not be an arrogant person, but your posts contradict that. You nitpick and dissect every post and while you might think you're innocently offering your opinion, the way you incessantly have to reaffirm your thoughts and contradict EVERY SENTENCE in both my and dannys posts is unbecoming to say the least. It also speaks to YOUR maturity. This thread isn't about arguing about peoples choices in firearms. I don't recall the initial question being "what should i get for my next carry piece." I believe it was about carrying a 1911. I only offered my opinions in what i thought was as objective as possible. While i like the 1911, i explained it's not always the best choice for everyone. Feel free to continue your one sided argument. I'm here to learn and share thoughts on guns. I'm not going to address your last dissection of my post unless you absolutely positively need me to. I'd rather talk about sleeves new x frame when it arrives.

Nice language. Your mother would be proud.

Only because a certain person cant grasp the obvious facts.

You may not be an arrogant person, but your posts contradict that.
Arrogance is often confused with knowledge...I forgive you.

Then dont read them, or dont post...this is a FORUM last time I checked.

It also speaks to YOUR maturity.
As does your use of profane language, thank you very much.

I already agreed to that, but ideally, one would think they would embrace as much information as they could, when making a decision to carry a tool that their life may depend on.

Then hopefully, you have been paying attention.

            Ignorance is indeed bliss!

I'd rather talk about sleeves new x frame when it arrives.
I dont know what that is.

I see no need...you have proven to me you cant grasp the simple fact of having a gun run 100%.

Its actually rather sad to tell the truth.

Take care, and good luck in life.

All the 1911's combined probably have had more jams then any other pistol in history.

Well, 1911s normally have more history that others, but on a per-capita (jams per 1000) I would agree.

And Ive seen guys who can get a 1911 to run right, for even thousands and thousands of rounds, but it is only those who know how to massage the complex inter-working of said pistol.
