Picked this up on black friday. I decided the CZ PCR was not cutting it as a carry gun and wanted to get something that was completely dedicated to carry. Haven't had the chance to take it to the range yet. I felt a fullsize with the Apex aluminum trigger and I believe it had the upgrade to the sear/firing pin block as well and I definitely want it in this. Does anyone have an idea where I can find a fullsize mag? I've heard they're near impossible to find right now.
You are correct, mags are impossible to find. I have a fullsize M&P 9 and I've only been able to find the ProMag's occasionally online. Normally I'd advise against that brand, but the 4 that I bought have functioned perfectly through about 1000 rounds. They are my range mags, I keep the S&W mags loaded with personal defense for bumps in the night.
Thanks guys, i'm very happy with it so far. My cousin works in law enforcement so we spent a couple hours at the range after I purchased it but he even said to take a course.
I am in Los Angeles/Van Nuys, can anyone recommend a firing range? Target Range is the cheapest and Firing Line is close as well.

Is it frowned upon if i go to a gun show to sell some lowers and put on a sign.. "no regristation required" or advertise in that kind of way? ha
No. Some people prefer to avoid the government overseeing their god given right, not everyone is looking to illegally purchase a firearm. With that said, people that go to a gunshow already know there is no checks involved, you only risk stirring shit up.
Good find on the mags btw. Too bad Midway has lost my business for good.

So my cousin who is an Arizona resident purchased the pistol as a gift for me and I reside in Los Angeles. He said by federal law that a family member can give a gun without any paperwork having to be done. I am looking online and am seeing conflicting things. Can anyone confirm that I do in fact have to register it or am I illegally holding this pistol now?

"Register" it with whom? Did Kalifornia implement a handgun registry? I know in the free states, there is no such registry. As long as the serial number wasn't reported stolen or used in a crime, you should be fine. I'm not a lawyer though nor can I link you to any sort of written law to support this.
That sounds like an illegal arms transfer to me. I'm no expert, but I thought federal law stated that all out of state transfers had to be conducted through an FFL in the receiving state. Again, I don't know for sure. I also don't think I'd risk not knowing, especially in California. Ignorance for the law is not an excuse judges accept.
I actually just went to the gun range and they said my pistol isn't even one of the 1,450 or so guns that are allowed in California. God Damn it California!
I just called and left a message at the department of justice to get some answers on my situation.
Thanks for the info guys.
