I just got home from vacation. Dude seriously I don't know how you stay away from home for so long. Montana (west of Billings anyways) is awesome. I would move there in a heartbeat if I had the means to make a good living. I fucking love mountains. And trucks. Fuck me running I have never seen so many clean old vehicles. It seems like everyone in the state has an old Land Cruiser. I'm not used to seeing rust free old trucks living here in the rust belt. I can also see why Californians suck. Things I enjoyed- I caught my first rainbow and brook trouts. I shot at the side of mountain with the friendly blessings of the forestry service. I drove up and back down a mountain. I went to Wyoming. I went back to Montana. People that open carry tended to have mountain man beards. Garbage cans have bear resistant latches because bears like garbage and latches don't do shit against a hungry bear. Bears seem bigger when there isn't glass/cage separating you from them. North Dakota sucks as much as I remember. Guns are more fun outside.

highlighted is why I am never home, if you think the CA influence was bad down there where you were, go visit my neck of the woods, especially this time of year in the very peak to tour-on season. LOL There is almost NO way you can make a good enough living in my area to afford to live there an buy a home unless you have cash coming out of your ears or you just sold your 900sq/ft shit box in the bay area for for 625k and have 250k in your pocket from it.....

Other wise your spot on about the rest of it, and you know why I have chosen to live where I do, so when I do go home, I actually want to be there and enjoy where I live. Most of those clean old Cruisers belong to the imports (from CA ) and tour-on's, MT has been domestic truck territory for a long long time
