My dad gave me a .357 stubnose pistol already about a year or so ago. Now is said he is passing on to me his Remington 12 gauge pump action shotgun soon. :D

Does anyone here have/use an M&P? More specifically one with the apex aluminum trigger? I have an M&P compact and as much as I love it, I gotta say the gritty trigger has still not grown on me. I realize that its somewhat pointless to modify the trigger on a compact carry gun just for the 'feel' of it, but the last carry pistol I had was a CZ-PCR and well, it made me a trigger snob I guess.

I've heard the Apex duty trigger is good. With that said, personally I wouldn't touch any trigger on a carry gun...you won't shoot it enough to see the benefit and the potential liability and legal "complications" that can arise aren't worth it. If you want a candy cane trigger, get a full size pistol and mod that shit down to a 3lb pull all day long.

Good choice on the bolt gun! If you want a .223 rifle it's hard to beat the performance/value ratio of an AR, a quality example can be built for <$600. I've always been a fan of the M14/M1A format, but Ruger's implementation hasn't been the greatest IMO. It's a decent alternative to the AR if you like the caliber and for whatever reason hate the AR, but the inferiority can be argued.

So whats the situation on .22lr? I stopped by Walmart and Big 5 this morning to see if they had any federal .22 bricks nothing. Im really wanting a 10/22 now, and was thinking of picking up a used one since they're so cheap. Either a 10/22 or a new pellet gun for some cheap plinking.

I've been using the Walmart app for finding 22lr. You just have to watch it and know how to use it. When it says "availability unknown" they should/will have it. Then you get to know the guys that work there and they will tell if they do or not.

Just got 500rds from cabela's last week. Happened to just go in and see what they had.
